TriggerTech triggers

Post by Sparkey »

Has anyone owned/used a 2.5 two stage. Are they any good? Better or worse than the single stage?

I have one of each, and both are great. I do like the single stage more, but I'm not one to touch the trigger until I'm ready to shoot. The single stage is a little more surprising when the pop happens! I have it on my Matrix 330, and think it is perfect for lower poundage applications, and thought about trying it in the 355, but the 2 stage in it works great, so if it aint broke!!!

My 7mm has a two stage and I am used the the set/fire sequence. Was wondering if it was worth the 130.00 that an acquaintance wants for a used one.

I would say this, if your friend has it installed in a bow you could shoot before buying, test it out, and you'll know if it's worth it!

IDK. I know a lot of other crossbow brands are now installing TT and it might be a matter of what sells VS. inventory. If you go to their site, and contact them, you'll get the right answer to that question.

I just bought a 2 stage 2 1/2# TT here in our classifieds for within $5.00 of your quoted price for a new matrix 380 I'm close to finishing up. I'm very impressed with the crispness and weight. I will give more info in a day or so when she's done and has some shootin' time behind her.
At this time I consider it money very well spent.

I like my two stage a lot! Buy it and if you don't like it you will have no problem selling it. Heck I would probably buy it from you if you didn't like it.

I have a 2 stage in my Vortex and a single stage in my Micro (because that's all they make for it). Both break very clean and are a nice upgrade to the factory trigger. The 2 stage pulls back to the wall easily and moves back forward just as easily if the shot never happens. I like that for hunting. Also that little bit of travel can help if you are wearing gloves. The triggers are light and can surprise you a bit.

I use both and equally like both. When hunting wearing a thin glove I do prefer the 2 stage for the increased feel.

I agree with Spike Country, Buy It,,,,, If you don't like it, you will have no problem getting your money back. I don't care for 2 stage triggers, but I shot Bench Rest fer over 30 years and light to me is 1.5 oz. my hunting revolvers are 2# with zero creep. But that is just me. There are those out there that like the 2 stage better.

With them not making it any more it will always be worth what you paid fer it, everyone knows they are the best trigger made fer these bows, and always be backed by Trigger Tech! It's a solid investment, and their simple to change,,,, let us know yer opinion once you try it.

So I was talking with Todd about the TT two stage and getting ready to send him the $$$ when he asked me what crossbow I was putting it on.

I told him the 350LE and he said that he thinks that this trigger is not for that bow. He said it is the TT 2.5 hunter and not the matrix hunter and is only to be used on 220LB draw weight bows and lower.

Is it true that the 2.5 hunter cant be used in a 240lb draw weight crossbow ?

I'd give TT a call. I can't remember if that trigger fit a Matrix or not. TT may even post on here.
