Suggestions on 350 LE upgrades?

Post by Irondude »

Hi all I'm just looking for some ideas from any of you fine people on what I can do to further upgrade my Matrix 350 LE. I have done some upgrades already but would like maybe some more thoughts on what I have done so far and where I can go from here to make this 350 a top notch bow.

What it came with:
Cheek Piece
Shadow Zone scope (non dry fire mount)
Quiver
Diablo 350gr bolts, field tips
Dynaflight Agent Orange string

Here is what I've just done and installed recently:
Guardian anti dry fire
Air Brakes
Reds
Simmons volt 600 Range Finder with tilt function (not installed yet)
Sling
Target bags

What I have on order:
Range Finder mount
Bi pod
Flemish string
Hard shell case

At the moment I'm not really looking to upgrade the scope as of yet, I'm somewhat satisfied with it for the time being, it does what I need it to but if and when I do I'll be looking for something other than an excal scope.

So I guess by what I have listed above, any other ideas I can do to deck this thing out to the max?

Thanks all in advance for your thoughts and comments :)

Get some tennis racket grip tape and wrap your stirrup with it to quieten down the twang on the shot. Put some shrink wrap on your arrow retainer for the same reason.

Best "upgrade" you can add as far as I see is LOTS OF ARROWS!

Hi Bob thanks for your input, do u have a link to something g particular that may be something that would match up to my set up? I think my ideal conditions would be the 40-60y yrd range.

Thanks MT BIGHORN, I have a total of 12 Diablo 18 inch bolts, been playing with tip weights a bit to see if I can match up my scope better. Is there any advantage to bolt types? Brand names etc? I'm already thinking fixed broadhead are best for me.

IMO, either of Excal. scopes you have will be sufficient until you can upgrade to a Leupold or similar quality scopes.

If you carry your bow with a shoulder sling ? I would reccomend checking out a Munch Mount... arrows are easy to access as they are parrallel too and above the rail.
I have found it a much more comfortable way to carry in the field than located below the rail in the "Stock" position and digging into my shoulder and back. :)
