With the current exchange rate, these prices are great. I just compared the cost of ground blinds with those listed by LeBaron's. Bass Pro blows them away.

Remember to make copies of your receipts and drop them off at Lebarons on your way home, I know I will

Were those prices for the grand opening ? or is that what they will be all the time ??
I have a feeling that prices will change there,, their just throwing out the lure with GRAND OPENING prices and deals.... I may be wrong? I hope so..

I have been to Bass Pro at Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Pontiac Mich., it is BIG. It is not hard for the employees to tell you are from Canada when they see us Ouhing and Ahhing as soon as we get in the door. The Cabela's store in Dundee, Michigan is even bigger. You can not beat these places for the selection they have.

Don't forget the tax will be added to your cost. If the item you order is not made in the States then I believe there is more cost added.

Perhaps Brampton Mike can give us some examples of how the prices compare, since he's done some shopping there. Mike, can you shed some light on this?

The pricing was good but not always cheaper then Lebaron. Most stuff was pretty close, on some stuff Lebaron was better priced. They don't carry any Excalibur products. I asked why and was told that it was Excalibur that didn't want to do bussiness with Bass Pro Shop because it may upset some local dealers. Who knows. The only catalog they have is in U.S. dollars and I'm not sure what exchange rate they are going to use when everything is said and done. Don't count Lebaron out yet. I'd rather go to Lebaron and be able to park and not have to stand in line forever. I'm glad I went, it's a great store but I'm not into the mega mall concept.

Check out and gun counter. They were just very busy. Same thing as Walmart. Ever try and run in and get something quick at Walmart? You can get what you want but your going to stand at the check out for awhile. The one nice thing about Bass Pro Shop was they had the shotgun I was looking at getting. Lebaron didn't have one in stock. Lebaron was forty bucks cheaper though.

I was there yesterday afternoon and didn't find the crowd to be as bad as I thought it would be, most people were wandering around the mall. The worst part was trying to find a parking spot. If you have ever been to the fall hunting sale at Bass Pro in Auburn Hills or the hunting expo at Cabelas, where people are tripping over each other, you would find this a walk in the park. The action at the gun counter seemed to be up and down. When I went to leave around 5:00 p.m. I walked right up to a checkout to pay, no line at all. I also had at least three different sales people come up to me while I was looking at something and offer assistance, which was nice. They also mentioned that some stock still hadn't arrived. I got a chuckle when someone in the footwear dept. said they had no silicon boot spray because the it was being held at the border by customs. You never know when someone may use that stuff for some evil deed.

  Yep...stock is still going into Bass Pro Shop daily....I work for the largest trucking company in North America & we are one of Bass Pro Shops key carriers and we are going in there daily with trailers loaded with stuff for them!!! As for prices, yeah some stuff at Le Barrons is cheaper but overall I found BPS prices to be comparable & in some cases cheaper & the staff where 200 times friendlier than any i've ever met at Lebarrons...as for lineups..what the heck did you expect...you thought you'd be the only one there....heck every outdoors person witihin god knows how many miles are going to be checking that place out... i've gone into LeBarrons many times & had stood in line for 10 minutes waiting to pay for something becuase the girls on the registers don't know a .22 for a 12 guage slug & it take them forever to find ammo or to fill out a licence application.....i for one will be spending much less time at LeBarrons even thought they are closer too me!!!!!!! Welcome to Canada Bass Pro Shop...you have a staunch supporter in me!!!!!!!!! Brampton Mike 8)
