I will be in my blind all set up well before day break with my micro 315 ready to launch a bull head @ the first legal bird that steps within 15 yards.....
Looking forward to reading some great posts....

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.
Good luck to you, Jeff. First two days here in NE Wisconsin I did not hear a single gobble all day. Friday night 20 min before dark heard my first gobble. Marked my spot and returned Sat morning. They were up n gobblin at 5:10 in the morning. It took me a good hour to get this guy to come in range and that was after I spent an hour crawling his way to cut the distance between us in half before he even considered my calling....
Blind hunting is fun, but stalking them is a rush.......
Was going to use my crossbow this past week here in WI, but the scope diopter ring came loose. Lucky had the 12ga along.
Just to get you primed.....

Yup ." Cough cough . I can`t make it in today . I think I caught something this weekend . "
Good Luck everyone this morning . Play safe .
We are up and ready to go . Hard time sleeping last night . I am like a kid on Christmas morning .
No BBD for me today but it was a great day to be in the woods.
Set up #1 called a big Tom in. He stayed out 60 yards and gobbled his head off for a good 30min. He got tired of waiting for the hen and just left. Not sure if it was the blind or decoy but he saw someting he didnt like...lol
Set up #2. Called in another gobbler. He was coming in to checkout my hen decoy. He spotted me putting down my caller and ran away. He was 30 yards to my right. Oh so close and I know better than to move when they are that close. Next time i will wait for him to be behind a tree before i move.
It was a great day to hunt and well worth the effort.
I am lucky to get out maybe 3x per season so plan B will be to use the remington 870 and no decoys. I can tell it will be one of those seasons...
