Mark Henegar........

As you can see my crossbow doesn't have your stock on it. I am still using the Crankeroo for a while. I couldn't modify (I really didn't want to mess it up) the laminated stock to accept the Crankeroo so I put the Excaliur stock back on it.

I'll kill a big one some day with that stock on my bow.. :D

Congrats WW. Great story. Man, sounds like you have that stand in a HOT spot. Lots a action and a good clean hit, can't ask for anything better!!

WW,

178 lbs!! NICE!!

Being from a state that puts weight in front of antlers in a discussion, that's a really good size buck!! 8)

Congrats Woody! Looks like you have yourself one sweet spot because you sure had your share of deer activity for a morning's hunt! That's another beauty of a buck to your credit! Congrats again! :D

Great story Woody. I am glad my mishap somehow benefited you, although I doubt you would have tried the iffy shot anyway.

Great buck Woody! Congrats and I hope you heal up soon...but by the sounds of things, it's really not impacting your hunting ability in nailing the big boys!

You are right Red... but your name really did cross my mind at that time..

That cinched the no shot deal...

If he had turned just a little and walked staright away he would have lived another day. He decided to go back the way he came in and that put him a perfect angling away. Exit - opposite leg..

Way to go Woody,

I'm glad to hear you are healing well. Congratulations on the nice buck.

Wow, you sure saw a lot of deer on that morning. That's an amazing outing. I can barely imagine letting all those close ones just walk away.

shifty,

These were the Wasp Hammers - fixed blades.

I've never tried the Jack hammers, but I'd bet they would be deadly.
