"Brace height is the distance the string sits measured from the joint where the riser meets the rail."robertyb wrote:Where are you measuring from?Hunter@Heart wrote:I can't attach a pic to upload because "the board attachment quota has been reached." lol

I only cocked the string back a dozen of times. As of now it's still a brand new string that haven't been shot with any arrow. It's still measured a little more than 1 1/2" which concerned me based on Excalibur's manual.robertyb wrote:Looks like you have a new unstretched string on your bow. Mine is the same as Wildcatters picture at 3/4" brace once stretched and set correctly.

I would recamend you cosk the bow and leave it cocked for 12 to 24 hours, I do with all new bows I get, I don't know if it helps settle the limbs or not, but I haven't ever had a limb problem with any new Excalibur I have bought. I know it will help get the string more stabilized!
I would also recommend you contact Vixenmaster you won't find a great string cheaper and get a flemish string fer your bow,,, I believe he had some under 20 buck's in the classifieds.
