Hi, everyone. I just stumbled across ur website tonite looking at crossbows. I am new at using a crossbow and actually never shot a real one yet. My grandfather was up this evening and said he ordered him and I crossbows and said they will be here next weekend. I can't wait!!!! I have no idea what brand it is or anything, it was a suprise. :o

But anyways a little about myself. I am 16 years old and live in NE Iowa. I also live on a farm, tons of great hunting land. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and working on the farm. I am a normal teenager only with a twist...I am in a wheelchair, but I don't let that slow me down one bit. I have shot 2 deer with a shotgun, and only put a slug through the gun 2 times, besides practice, the neighbors call me dead-eye-duck. And won a drawing to use a huntmaster lift system, its pretty much a electric treestand on wheels.

Anything you people could teach me about crossbows would be great.

Thanks

Welcome aboard Dead Eye Duck. I'm not in a wheelchair...well my wife says I'm mentally handicapped  Anyway I sure hope you end up getting the Excalibur crossbow. They are an excellent crossbow. The first crossbow I bought was a compound crossbow(cam/wheels), and the one I have now is a Excalibur Vixen(recurve limb). I cant believe the difference between them. No matter which one you get I'm sure youll be happy with it, as long as you can pluck a few deer with it. I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have about any make of crossbow you get. My knowledge is limited. The big bonus about this site is that there is several other people on here that have several years of experience with many different kinds of bows. Good luck, keep in touch, and let us know what you get.
