Looks like everyone has been busy !

Post by R.J. »

Wow ... you all have been busy .... lot's of great deer , moose and bear harvests ! Congrats to all , sounds like most of you have had a good season , some bumps in the road but a good season overall !

My PC has been out of servic for awhile ... just got it going a couple of days ago ...

Been busy myself .... still managed to get some time in the field .... haven't connected with anything big yet but have a good season so far . Started out rough with 4 missed shots  ?? . Did some equipment modifications , switched back to 2216's with 130 grain Wasp cam locks and the next 3 shots were bang on ! 2 , 10 yard shots with 60 yard recoverys and 1 , 35 yard shot with a 80 yard recovery ( all double lung ) Filled my WMU87 doe tag and my WMU80 doe tag . Filled a group tag on an invite out hunt when 2 fork horns and a spike came in to a rattling sequence . One of the fork horns got scrappy and came right in to lick my tinks bottle ..... trying to buckle down and target a nice racked buck to fill my primary tag before seasons end .... here are some pictures from the season so far .

This buck walked under my stand before legal shooting time in the a.m. , I wasn't all the way up the tree and had to sit real still until he walked into the corn field . He came back out of the corn later in the a.m. approx 100 yards away but never came back my way . Sorry for the blurry image but I zoomed it in to I.D. his rack for future refrence and I was shooting 800 film which gets real graining when enlarged .

Again .... congrats to all , and good luck to you all in your adventures in the field till seasons end !!

Great pics! I have to get myself another camera. So many images I see when I'm out, and nothing but my wee brain to save them. Hard for others to fully grasp what you are talking about, and memories fade and get a little blurry around the edges.

Great pics as always RJ.

Glad to here your having a good season over there, been a little quiet over here & not seeing much sign of rutting activity where I am hunting.
Once again the bow is away for the week as the muzzy season is on over here  & then only 1 week before the shotguns hit the bush again

But after that hope to be in the bush as much as possible until the end of the year.
