A friend of mine has one of the best deer finders I have ever seen. He is a yellow lab male and he got him started by letting the puppy smell the deer he had killed and brought home. As time went on he would take a deer leg or his head and shake it at him playing until the puppy got so excited he attacked it.woodmnctry wrote:So just how does one train a blood trailer?
Now we put a GPS tracking collar on the dog and put him on the trail and watch the screen. When he sits (according to screen icon) we go recover the deer.
