I also carry much more than I need into the woods. I've used a Tenzing 1200 ultra light day pack the last few years. Really like the bag, holds more than it looks like it should and its comfortable to stalk around in too. It has a nice assortment of pockets for organization as well as straps and clips on the outside and it's expandable to suit your needs for the day.
