Vixen, reasons its easy to cock even by hand. I can change out strings widout a stringin aid. Will shoot most any arrow combo n still get great accuracy at 35 yds n its a proven deer killer
I am a huge fan of the 200 lb bows.vortex expect. .do it all bow good for any animal in North America. That saying o now shot a equinox. And have yet to try any of the matrix line of bows. One thing I do now us that the older style bows are tested and proven over time.

Well, these all seem like pretty good reasons.
I'm developing a crossbow fetish, well actually and Excalibur Crossbow fetish, and it seems this is the place to stoke that fire.
Equinox..shadow-zone
Vortex..veri-zone
Matrix 355 (Stinger)..tact-zone
Matrix 350SE..dead-zone
…ya, I know.
[quote="newbie"][quote="wsisk"]Mine would be the micro series in either 315,335 or 355 due to the compact size goood for ground blind as well as treestand
Matrix 330, great in a blind, or on stand, plenty of power without breaking the back and just the perfect size in my opinion. If i had to think of my limbs lasting forever even in the event of a dry fire, the Vortex hands down would the best choice for me.
It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!
I've been shooting the Exocet for years. Killed a lot deer. Never a problem. Just got a new micro 335. I love the micro but the Exocet 200 would have to be my go to.
Vixen II - can still cock it by hand if I toast both my rope cockers.
Can pull it all day to practice without taking pain meds for aching muscles.
While it's slow at 270-280'ish fps, 350 fps doesn't do a thing for you if you are shooting past 35 yards anyhow - it's still "slow" and Bambi will hear it coming.
Never ever heard of a limb on a Vix "busting" at an inopportune time, or any other time for that matter (and yes, odds are low for any limbs breaking "statistically", but long limbs only packing 150 lbs are going to last longer than super short ones holding back 260 or 280 pounds - that's just math).
I see taking a 60 or 70 yard "bow shot" to be the rough equivalent of a 600 or 700 yard rifle shot on a deer, and personally wouldn't pull the trigger in either case - regardless of "how big" the deer looked...
