Ontario Hunters Let's Track the Rut

Hi guys. I was thinking it would be interesting to try to track rut sign as the fall progresses. I usually hunt the most once the bucks start scraping. Curious to see if they start earlier in other parts of the province. So post your observations and let's see if we can figure out when it's getting hot!

I found fresh scrapes this past weekend.

I tripped in one rut while scouting this past weekend Lot of scrape and rubbing action going on in my woods. Too warm for me to think about hunting at this point.

Scrapes started around here early last week. South shore of Simcoe area.

Fresh scrapes in area 92...no daytime movement though, too warm lately.

had fresh scrapes and rubs on the 10th when i shot my buck. Still getting the odd daylight pictures and lots of sparring picks at night.

Light rubbing on small saplings this past weekend . Found a cluster of scrapes this past weekend . Only night time pictures 10 pm to 2 am .

No scrapes in my area. They will start soon I hope, lots of tracks, and scat .
