Cabela's excalibur

So I bought this bow and my buddy looks at it and saw that the sting is way to close to the riser. I did buy it when I was visiting in Vancouver and I live in Thunder bay Ontario. They shipped it to me and so I did not have the support of them seeing I am about 2000 kms from them.

I went to a local place to tighten the string for me and he said that the string was already twisted so much that he would not be able to do it.

I called Cabella and he said, fix it and they will pay for it. So I did. The new string was about 3 inches shorter then the old one (never been shot)

If you look at the video, it seems all the Cabela's Excalibur are strung the same. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am just happy we got things figured out and I can go shoot it on Monday.

that's a recipe for limb problems and some serious serving wear No matrix model should sport a brace height so low, that's why the rail is scribed. It is definitely not supposed to look like that, but you can find many uneducated dealers with inventory that looks like that. That Cabelas brand Excalibur needs some REDS or DM bumpers for sure.

Brace height is an easy fix if you bought a stringing aid. IF not you will need to get one as this is routine maintenance and only takes a few minutes at most.
Keep it above that line and you will be good.

Suggested brace height measurements on the matrix bows and that one too I'm guessin is 1/2 to 1 in from your riser joint if u don't have bumpers yet. New strings will stretch a lot . Keep string in those parameters and you'll be good to go. All matrix strings are same length (can't remember exact number but seems like it was 31 in ?) Have fun
