The deer will be less nervous visiting the bait if its not out in the open. Or they may just visit it at night.

I put my bait 20 yards from my tree stand. Corn appels etc.

Just find a well used deer trial and put a bag of corn by it. This time of year even buck will answer the need to feed.

I like to put bait just on the edge of the bush. Then i dont walk in and disturb bedded deer .Plus if the bait pile is in the bush the will feed any time of day . Then i would leave just for a evening spot. My brother and i have done this alot and it works 99.9 % of the time.

Yep, What shifty said.
Just hunt the baited stands in the afternoon. 60m er so off the fields in the woods. Meat hunting strictly.
Not many big bucks go this way.

Some of the best bating I have done is putting the golden nuggett on a well used deer trail well away from any bedding area but in good cover, A travel route 2 or 3 hundred yards from the hard woods and the same from the bedding area.
