Well it's the controlled shotgun hunt in my area 78A, and I have no tag, so instead of just sitting around I thought I would take the time to do some scouting on the other property we have. We have not hunted this property much yet and don't really know it, so why not go for a walk. Well I found a major travel route, took this pic of one area, and saw a doe and two fawns in a couple of hours walk. I was able to set a ground blind and will be in it on Monday morning. enjoy the pic.

Quickshot: cool picture ! .... Sandman and I were scouting the other day and found a big cedar tree that a buck had been using ..... you can really see where the brow tines have been digging in ...... the other tines wrapped around the tree and scared the sides ..... nice rub tree !

Yhats got to be one big deer to do that. I hope you get your chance at him. The ground blind I have set up is about 50 yards form the scape line. It was the only place to set up as this line is the only brush for a long way on the edge of the swamp. I know that if I stick it out and with a little luck I will see this buck. I also found a shed about 200 yards form this swamp. I was a decent size, with 5 points. I hope I find the owner of that shed.
Good luck with the rest of the season
