I have a 1" gap between rubber suppressor and string. Is this acceptable? Thanks

Did you just change the string, or is this a new crossbow? If yes to either question, cock the bow overnight, let it down and recheck the gap. If it came down, great, if not shoot it a few times.

Left it cocked overnight. No change, will try some shooting to see if that reduces gap. Got slammed with two foot of snow, may be a couple days.

How many twists do you have in the string?

If you take out a few twists you will lower the height. Don has a good question there. You don't want to untwist the string too much. Good rule of thumb is one twist every two inches in length.

If you have the factory green string on it was made short on purpose. Simply start shooting it, it will stretch.

Sorry for all the questions,my brace height is 1.5" because of new string. Will it damage my bow shooting this brace ht. Till string breaks in?
