Guess it's my turn
Was shooting my 380 blackout tonight trying to stretch out a new string.
Had it dialed in perfect when it started to walk the arrows to the left.
Checked everything on the bow, shot it again with good groups but still going left.
Just happened to flip it over and saw one of my limbs had splintered and had a crack starting in the middle lengthwise.
So I guess it's off to the warranty folks and be thankful for the excellent Excal warranty.
Still, when it happens to you, it's a sick feeling.
Oh well, I guess it happens and it's the off season, so no problems there.

That's a bummer, but from all I hear you'll be taken care of promptly . Never had to use customer service and I'm good with that. Good luck.

Re: Guess it's my turn
My truck breaks down now and then too . Yes I've had a few limbs go over the years BUT - on average the members of this forum are above average users/fanatics of their Excalibur's. The majority of users out there, fire one or two shots day before hunting season and another one or two during season. Equipment that gets used will break from time to time. Just ask Don - if it was not for all those BMTroubleu's breaking down he would be out of a job
Fustrating yes, but as always you know Excalibur has your back and you'll be up and running again in no time. NOT worrying and wondering if warranty will cover and if you can ever reach support at XYZ company.

AND just like that, Excal is already in the process of getting me new limbs.
Sucks when it happens, but that warranty and service is worth it's weight in gold!!
Thanks Excal!!

Re: Guess it's my turn
We have the same xbows(380,400,405), but just one 405 . Fortunately, I've yet to have a limb break. I think a major factor in the lack of breakage is having the spare set of blemished limbs. Now an open question: is there a quality or matching difference between the blemished limbs and buying a new, matched set?
Re: Guess it's my turn
SEW, I'm not sure about any differences between new and blem.
I always thought it was just an appearance thing.
I also have a spare set of limbs for the Blackout and could have put them on in a pinch to be up and running, but at this time of year I am going to wait for the "new" limbs Excal is sending.
Looking at the blems, like everyone else has said, I can't see ANY "blem".

I hope excal has our back ..Horton had mine and now says heck with your bow we do not cover older bows or sell parts.
THEN my favorite muzz co THOMPSON gets bought out by S/W and first thing they did was to stop making flintlocks and no parts and NO LIFETIME WARRANTY they promised..

73 Bronco 44 years old, still running sweet and lookin' close to new with 142K on it with no Warranty ever needed that I'm aware of ?
But then I'm the the 2nd owner, I don't know what the origional warranty covered or when if ever, it went out of warranty for that matter
But then it's a Ford ya know, kind of like that Energizer Bunny, it just keeps on runnin' and runnin'
