I've been looking for a hunter's orange vest for my beagle pup. She's mostly brown in colour and is really hard to see in in the fall under growth. I've asked at pet stores etc. and have only found hunter's orange collars available. Anyone know of a store in SW Ontario or an on-line location?
Want to get her used to it before fall. She's getting used to her life jacket , likes the extra armor when playing with cat.
Anything more then a collar on a hound is asking for trouble.thy get hung up on brush fences and such.and tend to over heat in the early season. I run a orange collar and a bell .thy seems to work best.

my dog wears this several times each and every day for up to a couple of hours each time while out in the woods and have never had a problem yet https://safetypupxd.com/

I have a small backpack for a beagle. It has orange reflective material on it. Stuff some water bottles in the sides and make the dog work for you. As others have said I run orange collars with loud bells.
Hey Don, as a courtesy to Tom maybe you should dress the two girls and the pup in the safety gear during Boofest.....you know, so maybe he can keep an eye on them before he feeds them lunch.
