Turkey Hunting: Gobblers gobble right at or just before sunrise mornings to let the area hens know where he is located. Nature has it that when he gobbles that the hens come to him usually if they haven't gone to nest already. The best way to get him, and I am giving you the condensed version, is to locate his roost either by listening mornings and going to him them or roosting him the evening before. If you have any agriculture then if there is a gobbler there chances are you will see him strutting in the field at some point in the season. My advice is to watch all the videos you can on roosting, scouting, and calling turkeys. Sometimes they are too easy to harvest and others they seem smarter than a Harvard Professor.

As far as deer hunting there are several ways to do it successfully. It all depends on what you are after and the legal means you can use. As a rule you would like to find the deer trails on you property. Since you have agriculture chances are that they will be located between the bedding area and the fields. A good way to scout is putting a trail camera on the deer trails to see what you have on your property. Its not uncommon for nice bucks to be using small tracts of land next to rural areas.

The main thing is not to get frustrated as it can be overwhelming at first but with dedication and time you will get the hang of it.

Welcome to the brotherhood. I feel your pain; was in the same boat when I started. I used to rent Roger Raglin videos and learn from my mistakes. If someone will teach you the basics you will do well.
