Help - Eye relief issue
I have a Hawke XB-1 on my micro but even with the rings moved back as far as I can on the mount, I cannot get my eyes close enough to the scope for proper eye relief. I have to uncomfortably stretch my neck and head enough to shoot.
Is there an adapter out there that would extend my rail back? Frustrating.

I also had to add a notch for the Nikon Bolt scope.

You can buy cantilevered rings. Either a one piece base with rings attached or individual cantilevered rings. Check a proper gun shop or even Amazon and do some research.

Another option is to have narrow rings just 1 screw per side, maybe Leouplod rifleman rings I have a set on a rimfire and they have been working well, this will buy you some room to slide the scope a bit further back.

Yep, I never had an eye relief issue with any of my Excalibur's. Lucky maybe, IDK. About how much further back do you reckon you need to go? The thinner rings just might do it.gerald strine wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2017 7:42 pmAnother option is to have narrow rings just 1 screw per side, maybe Leouplod rifleman rings I have a set on a rimfire and they have been working well, this will buy you some room to slide the scope a bit further back.

Re: Help - Eye relief issue
Good timing that you post this, a co worker with a Matrix 355 had the same problem and told me he replaced the scope mount with ADF and replaced it with a older non ADF scope mount and re drilled the 4 scope mount hole precisely to move the scope more rearward somewhat.
My advice was "don't dry fire it".

Re: Help - Eye relief issue
Just buy an ADF for it. The non ADF has the solid block in the rail. The ADF is rail from front to back.
Edit, I just read you have a 335 micro. I would have figured it had the full rail style.

Extension rings. I don't know if they will move your scope back far enough for you, but I've had the same problem with rifle scopes and they pretty well solved the issue. Weaver makes them as well as other manufacturers, most gun shops should be able to help you out.
I think these are the same as "cantilevered" that were already mentioned, and should be easy to find.

Re: Help - Eye relief issue
Most of the cantilevered rings are also HIGH for use with AR's. A regular set of extension rings will do this and not raise scope any more. Just a thought .paulaboutform wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2017 7:06 pmYou can buy cantilevered rings. Either a one piece base with rings attached or individual cantilevered rings.
