The Maxocet

Post by ranger66 »

So let me get this straight, I have a exocet and a exomax, and if I switch out the risers and limbs, I now have 2 exomags, right? Just one would be a exomag and the other would be a maxocet. :D

And they would both shoot 330 fps!

It's my impression that only the riser needs replacing.

You are right woodsman but it would be easiest to simply unscrew the riser and switch the whole package intact. ( I suspect that is what he meant by changing the limbs etc...)

The only difference between the exomag and the exomax is that the riser is angled towards the stirrup a few degrees, thus changing the amount of pressure on the limbs. That's it, the limbs are identical on both models. -JR
Stock Exomax and now a Micro 335. :)

Yes this is what I am planning on doing once the season has ended. Just to see what the results are goin to be. I think I could be happy with 2 X-bows shootin 330 fps, as long as accuracy stays the same.

Anybody have a photo that shows this difference? I asked an Excalibur dealer about it this weekend and he didn't have a clue!

I hope it's not until after the 31st. Deer season is open here until then.

FYI: Ranger66 ate every one of those animals.

You would only see the difference in angles if you unstring both xbows. -JR
