Replacing REDS

Replacing REDS
Looking for some input on replacing REDS on Matrix 380. The replacement set I bought comes with the rubber pads as well as the post that install on the bow. The new posts are flat, the existing posts are round, sort of a ball with a small flat end. The problem is I cannot remove the old posts from the bow even after removing the set screws. I just removed the pads and replaced them with the new pads but they don't seem to fit exactly like the old ones did. Any advice on removing the old posts?
Re: Replacing REDS
Most likely you have created high spots on the posts when you tightened the original set. Bully them out with vise grips, or channel locks. I would recommend Danny Millers.

Re: Replacing REDS
Never touched them, they are original install from the factory. I tried channel locks as well they're not budging I'm just going to swap out the pads.
Re: Replacing REDS
The first ones were round and the up date were flat . if you want to replace the rubber pad I would go with Dr. Stirrup they will last forever.

Re: Replacing REDS
Remove as described by Dan. The round posts are the original old style and the half flat ones are the new. The flat ones leave an air pocket that absorbs string shock much better and reduces ware significantly.
