using new type of string silencer

I am using a Mathews monkey tail on both of my Excalibur bows. It seems to give less vibration and lessens the noise. The bows seem to give me more accuracy with the monkey tails installed. They are sold in a four pack for $12. I am using two of them on each bow. I placed them on the string to the outside near the limb tips just where the string meets the serving for the limb tips. So far, after twenty or so shots, they are holding up well. I just ordered the S5 system that may help even more with the noise and vibration. My Excalibur bows are the Exocet 200 and the Equinox. I might add that they were very easy to install with no tools needed, or having to separate the string.

I know your post is old. I’m curious as to how the Mathews monkey tails held up on both of the crossbows you used them on. I had some extras laying around and thought about putting a couple on my Grizzly, and see how they would work out. They would be very easy to install on the string.

I use the Brush Buttons like I used on my recurve long bows years ago.
