Nock weight

Post by Ragumup »

Hi this place is a real wealth of knowledge
Question how to make my flat plastic nocks weigh the same as my lumenoks ... I’m thinking glue ? Or glue something in the back of nock ...? Thanks in advance

An 18 to 20 grain threaded insert or set screw either threaded in or glued will uniform your inserts.

A 10-32 x 1/2” set screw screwed into the flat plastic nock will put you within half of a grain of a Lumenok.

I’ve used Allen screws also.
Now I have been using tiny split shot. I put some glue in the insert then add split shots till I get the weight I want then put some more glue on top. The split shot I have start at about 5 gr’s.
Just another option.

I did sort of the same thing... shaved a tad off a lead pellet to get the weight right and super-glued it inside the nock. I made a few of them and it works well.
