Lot's of deer coming around but only way before I get there. Bucks started showing up last week. Hopefully during the rut they will come around in the daylight.
Going to have to put my electronic feeder back out so I can time the corn distribution. That may get them to show up later in the day. Will also save me a lot of money. The corn is about $7.00 a bag. I will go broke before the season is over at this rate!!
I hate raccoons as well!!

Lots of time left. I don't panic if I have not filled my archery tag until mid December.. Lol
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.
Got the feeder hung.
I installed a heavy metal pie sheet on the top so the critters can't gnaw a hole in the plastic lid. It snaps on so it ain't coming off.

Looks like you need some predator control. If you don't trap, you should find someone that does.
The landowner live traps them and relocates to someone else's woods. Look's like they all came back!!

I think the racoons get more of my corn than the deer.
Yes sir!! They are definitely the masked bandits!!
The landowner's grandaughter won't let him kill them so he live traps them and hauls the out to the lake several miles away.
Personally I would find a trapper and let him clean them up.

Yes, he needs to find a trapper & take them to him, & not tell the Granddaughter where he took them. If she feels that way, your lucky you can deer hunt, if the Granddaughter won't let him kill the coon.

When my Dad was alive, he was a believer in hunting “piles” of corn instead of using feeders, and he would dump out 500 lbs at a time. I had no way of proving it, but I can almost guarantee the coons ate probably 75% or more of the corn.

She hunts deer on her other Grandfather farm. She's a big fan of venison and has no problem shooting them. It is funny she won't let him kill the varmints though!! Go figure??
