Does anyone know where I can get lye or Gillettes lye. I need it for a pretzel recipe?

Try the same place as you would for borax,the grocery store,under plumbing/cleaning solutions.
May also be at Home Depot,in the same general area as above.

Lyed Corn Soup

Not sure were you get it I will have to ask my dad..

I have a friend who is Mohawk(Native), and he makes Lyed Corn Soup. Has anyone every had this before???

My wife buys it at the grocery store, Walmart etc for soap making: Red Devil brand I think. Many drain openers are pure lye (sodium hydroxide). BTW I think lyed corn is the same as hominy... could be wrong.

Not sure what Hominy is, BUt I will find out more, as my interest is peaked now..

I think I'm right on this - tell me if you know different:

Hominy is made from whole kernel dried corn. Lye is used to soften and remove the tough outer shell. I would think that "Lyed Corn" would be "Hominy". Guitarman, you owe it to yourself to go to the grocery store and buy yourself a can of hominy. Don't worry - it's cheap!
