Trailblazer/devastation 150 g heads

Post by Ankh »

Has anyone been able to get their hands on the 150 grain trailblazer/or innerloc version yet? If so, review/thoughts, etc. All my go to sites are backordered but I'm definitely interested in them

I have had one on my hand yes :D I expect they would perform equally or better than the 100 just due to the extra weight to drive those bladed through

Are both the 100 and 150 gr the same length?

Can't say for sure, but I do recall them both being very close if not the same. The 150 is made of steel

For many reasons, Excalibur has hit a home run with bases loaded on this broadhead! It is reliable, cuts large, good weight up front and a slender ferrule that won't unnecessarily eat energy. I doubt there will be complaints of poor blood trails that were not uncommon on previous 150 gr broadheads!
It is amazing to watch the broadhead offering explode in the last few years. I'm sure it has to do with the obscene profits made my the broadhead manufacturers. The prices are just nutz!

Stupid question, but do you guys use a brass insert in your bolts with these 150’s?

I have inserts in all my bolts

I sure do like the looks of these 150’s

Absolutely no reason why you couldn't. It would put your arrow well over the average arrow weight typically used, but without a doubt it would hit like a ton of bricks.

My friend was shooting basically that same setup only with bolt cutters, last year from his 420, and it ROCKED the target around when it hit.

I was shooting boltcutter and 90 grain brass insert very accurate and hard hitting combo.
The drop really wasn't that bad either at hunting ranges.
