Question for the xperts?

Post by Golden Eagle »

Could you please tell me the differences in the xcalibur scopes?
Max zone, Drop zone, Vari-zone. I see from the threads that the vari zone is well respected.

The Vari-zone is the only "adjustable" scope which compensates for different fps setups. For example if one setup shoots 350 fps and you change grains of the heads you only adjust the eyepiece to the new fps. The scope is marked with different speeds from 250-350 fps. Not exactly sure if it goes down to 250 fps, I haven't got mine with me at work right now.

Does anyone know what speeds the drop zone & max zone are calibrated for? I've seen TenPoint's ads for their scope states for 300fps arrow speed.

Dropzone is for speeds of 250 fps to 300 fps, maxzone is for speeds of 300 fps to 350 fps. A varizone works from 250 to 350 fps by increasing the power in the scope from 2 1/2 x to 4 x as you turn the speed ring up.
