Question on swapping limbs

Post by redfin »

I swapped my limbs on my Micro 355 and now I have this gap while uncocked between limb and riser. I do not remember it on the old limbs but wanted to know if this is normal. I wanted to get sighted in this weekend. It seems logical that the replacement limbs should have come with a thicker limb pad. The new limbs did look thinner than the old ones in this area where the gap is.

Everything is torqued down properly and I triple checked everything. I tried to attach a pic but the message I get is that the board attachment quota has be reached. If anyone can help with that I can post a pic.

I get a feeling every time I swap limbs or tear down the front end and reassemble it. You have the same sense I get, so just measure the width of the two sets, maybe there is no issue. Remember, we’ll all be behind you when you shoot, waaay behind you!

What you are seeing is what was there before. The riser is relieved slightly so the riser profile can act like a rocker. The picture below is my 355 Suppressor where you are seeing the gap

I see a larger radius on the limb edge which makes the gap appear to be larger. I say you’re good to go.

Very happy with the new limbs. Through the chronograph I am getting an average of 322fps with my 400 grain quills. I had very good flight with the magnus stingers in 150grain out to 40 yards.
