Hey guys first time poster,,, on my 3rd Excalibur but this past one I purchased was a private sell so not sure
I have a matrix 380, the gentleman put on the “air brakes” on the limbs, my question is the height from the redds “bumper “ Is different on each side. Example is my string is 1/2 inch off left bumper n 1/4 inch off right, now string is making contact with both when shoot, now the limbs if your looking at the front of bow, my right limb is off just a tad compared to left, but is obviously In the correct bolt holes, if I just pull on the limb the string becomes even on both bumpers, now question is is this ok to keep
Shooting??? Or does it need to be reset somehow?
Just don’t wanna hurt anything on the bow. Thanks all for any feedback! Jim

Re: Brace height question
Jim, the first thing I would do is lossen the bolts holding the rail to the riser and make sure it is seated correctly. There is just a little wiggle room there that might make a difference. From there make sure the posts for the bumpers are not out of whack, one may not be installed all the way down. Then, I would suggest taking the limbs off and make sure you have the plastic shims under both limbs.

Re: Brace height question
You might want to remove the limbs and check for cracks on the backside of the limbs.

Re: Brace height question
Thanks guys yes first thing I did was loosen bolts from riser and wiggle to see if made a difference, but was seated good, will check bumpers tonight, where limbs bolt on one just looks further away from center if that makes sense , I don’t know hot cuz bolts can only go in same hole,,? Appreciate the feedback!!
Re: Brace height question
Yes that could make a difference. The heads should be well centered with the holes.

Re: Brace height question
Take the limbs off. Inspect them with a fine tooth comb on both front and back. Reinstall with the limbs on the opposite side that they were originally and see if the spaces against the bumpers swap sides to. Then you'll know if one limb is on its way out
