Cease fire trigger review!
Installed a cease fire trigger in my micro 335 gen 1 micro.
Installation went very smooth with no major issues.
The first trigger pull suprised me when it went off very smooth with no creep and definitely a much lighter trigger pull than my stock trigger.
Loading an arrow with the rhino nock needs more force than the stock flat nock trigger. Rhino nock is captured in the trigger with an audible click so there will be no more partial dry fire.
No more ADF lever issues!
Decocking will be done with a discharge target. I'm not interested in using the ADF bypass hook.
Kudos to Excalibur for designing an excellent trigger with proper anti dry fire.

Lol!
Note to self when opening a trigger stop and don't do it... lol

Has anyone come up with a lighted nock that works with this trigger group?

You can use a lighted or regular flat nock in the Ceasefire Trigger. It is however more effort to load. The detent spring is stiff. I talked to Jeff about how to get around it.

Yep loading a flat nock isn't fun with the cease fire. I went ahead and glued in the rhino nocks on my 16.5" zombies...
My flat luminocks will reside in my parts drawer for now... lol

$24.00 USD per nock? No thank you.

Re: Cease fire trigger review!
I'm running flat Lumenoks and flat Black Eagle plastic nocks just fine in my 380. It does require a bit more force to seat the last inch of the arrow than with the other ADF, but it's easy enough. It's not enough force to turn on my Lumenoks when I load them.
This past long weekend I unloaded after three different hunts with the ADF bypass hook. It works well once you get used to it. It's a bummer to have to carry an extra item, but it's small and worth it to get rid of the ADF lever.
I've got a couple hundred shots through mine, and only a handful with rhino nocks.

I also replaced my factory trigger (Mag 340) with a Ceasefire trigger. I am also quite pleased with the improvement.
My factory trigger seemed to be eating servings on my strings. I haven't shot the new Ceasefire trigger enough to fully evaluate this issue with it. Did you (or anyone) see a need to polish the Ceasefire trigger?

Re: Cease fire trigger review!
Questions… so if you use flat nocks, you would not have the ADF function? And does the new trigger scope mount place scope any higher or farther forward?
Re: Cease fire trigger review!
The ADF still works. The Ceasefire looks to be maybe 3mm lower at the top of the scope base.flightattendant100 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 5:34 pmQuestions… so if you use flat nocks, you would not have the ADF function? And does the new trigger scope mount place scope any higher or farther forward?

Re: Cease fire trigger review!
Good morning ,
1st post here and 1st crossbow ,
Boo pointed me in this direction,
I recently purchased a mag 340 and it delivered yesterday. I read some info prior to purchase and went ahead a got a cease fire trigger
2 quick questions
Does the safety on engage when the crossbow is cocked, does not seem to lock in when not cocked
Also saw some discussions on lumenoks , I ordered 6 of these as well can you use them with the cease fire
Thanks
Frank
