I leave one camera out year round, but decided to put the rest of them up a few week early to capture antler growth. I really haven't captured any antlers yet from a buck worthy of placing on my hit list. But I did capture pictures of a bear that is at least as big as the one I harvested last fall. With a few more months to put on weight, this one will be quite plump come October.
I prefer to slip in to my treestand before daylight as discreet as possible with no light if I can. It's photos like these that make me turn a light on.
Has anyone else captured any pictures yet of anything that has your interest?

Not seeing any antlers on my mineral site and small food plot yet either, but, I would not hesitate deflating your bear on cam.
Good luck!

So hard to judge bear weight. That bear to me looks like it goes 250 but come this fall much more. Dandy for sure.

Chunky looking fellow!!

Re: 2023 Trail Cam Photos
Over the past week or so, I've started seeing more antlers. Surprisingly, I haven't seen the normal pile of spikes and fork horns. Most everything that I'm seeing has a little more bone. There are a handful of average 8pt bucks that I'd be happy to stick if any come in bow range. Then we had this fellow show up within ten yards of my new stand location that I'm planning to use for early season vertical bow hunting.
At the moment he tops the my crossbow and compound bow hit list. This season I'm going to try to harvest a deer with traditional archery (recurve) as well. I've already got a #1 picked out on that hit list as well. Here my traditional #1 broadsided to my stand at ten yards.
