That's a pretty large weapon for EDC.
If you are set on it, then look at "We The People" holsters.
They actually make an excellent EDC IWB Kydex that's fairly comfortable.

Good luck with your search.

That’s a nice 1911 and it was available in 9mm. as well. For carrying open or concealed I like VNSH holsters personally for the comfort.

I own many 1911s but only carry when I'm gonna go to a nasty place 🤪 because they are heavy sons a guns loaded up.
I normally opt for my snub nose .38 or my bond .38 derringer
This nice simple holster will carry high on the waist and you can easily drop a shirt over it...works really well
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.

I use a Mitch Rosen OTWB leather holster for my SR1911 in .45. His stuff is very nice and tucks in against you well. It’s on the Ruger website I think.
