For you guys looking to travel and have a great time y'all need to look at Texas.
Lots of draw opportunities as well as private land hunts.
Here's a few things you can find in Texas...
Some of these Texas exotics include blackbuck antelope, axis deer, fallow deer, sika deer, mouflon sheep, Corsican sheep, free-range aoudad sheep, free-range elk, free-range addax, lechwe, scimitar-horned oryx, Beisa oryx, white-bearded gnu, impala, kudu, nyala, springbok, zebra, and eland.
Pretty good list to get you in the mood. Notice a lot of these animals are now "free range".

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!

I was successful in the Ontario deer draw! Not too hard because it was listed at 100% for many years now... lol

Karin and I both got doe tags. Hopefully I will tag a mature buck and won't have to use mine.Carnivorous wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 9:10 amI was successful in the Ontario deer draw! Not too hard because it was listed at 100% for many years now... lol

I got a doe tag, which is good. Because I'm the guy that doesn't get the tag when it's 99%

Surprising I did not get a doe tag this year . First time since I started hunting . Used to be WMU 80 was 100% obviously not anymore . Others in the group got antlerless so I am still good .

Kev, I'm that guy that never draws a doe tag or a Controlled when everyone else does. Super awesome when your whole hunting party draws November and I get December. At least now you can bow hunt in controlled with a tag.Doe Master wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 7:06 amSurprising I did not get a doe tag this year . First time since I started hunting . In the past, I hunted an area where doe tags were 100% guaranteed. Unfortunately, now the area I hunt is only 29% success rate. Needless to say, I haven't gotten a antlerless tag yet. After being spoiled for years, and having a tag every year, I'm OK with not drawing any. I suppose it's called balance.
