Any advices on bug proof clothing?

What does really work and what can be used on hot days? Where to buy bug proof clothing?

make a trip to the usa and buy a product called therma cell absoulty a must have for late gobbler hunting or early moose hunting ... i use mine every day and it flat works

Canadian tire now have therma-cell on sale in Ottawa.
The only store I know of is in Kanata in thier Turkey departement. ( no wisecracks :lol: :lol: )

Hey Bob, do you know what the going price is for them things ?...

I can sure use one, for both the turkey hunt and for the Quebec spring bear hunt. Also as was mentioned above, it would come in handy for the archery moose hunting season... Not to mention it would also come in really handy for fishing them brookies!... And we all know the best time to be out fishing for them is when them bugs are out full force attacking us with all they've got!!... :shock:

A little expensive, but it must worth the price.

I just called Canadian Tire in Kanata and they told me they don't have any ThemaCell's at that store either???...

I've never been big on using any kind of chemicals for hunting mammals.
I had a client last year who had one of them ThermaCELLS which he was using while bear hunting last spring, which I was skeptical about myself because bears have a very, very good sense of smell...

Well he proved me wrong big time by shooting the biggest bear that year after passing on about 5 bears before he took his shot on a big boar, and he told me he had his on all the time he was out in the stand. Of course the stand was downwind of the bait barrel...

just got of the thermacell web site and it says that the product is still not avalible for canada below if from there web site



Is ThermaCELL available in Canada?
Unfortunately ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent appliance is not yet available for sale in Canada.

i go to cabelas at least twice a year .... i buy a wack of them when i am there ... i may have one left :lol: if i have one i will sell it to you for what i paid for it 21.99 us for it ... last time i went i bought 15 of them for guys that charter fish for the flys on the boats in lake ontario in calm days one guy did not want his .... if you dont it is fine im sure my kids will use it when camping

Sorry it took so long to reply.
Iv'e been out of town.
CT store in Kanata where the box stores are. They where priced at 39.95 per box.
They had them in the turkey display.
