OT-New Saw Mill

Post by RichardS »

I just bought a sawmill in hopes to run it for the summer and avoid having to get a summer job. The mill is amazing....its a woodmizer with a CAT diesel on it!

I attached a picture of it but the one I have has the diesel engine on it.

Can't you tell that he is 17 by the way he flaunts the fact that he has had his 1st beer recently?

I had one of those & loved it, Mine was a simpler model LT-30 without the hydraulics. But I finished building my house and couldn't justify keeping it. Sure miss that mill. I also built a solar kiln that worked great.

I honestly dont know the engine model that is on the mill. Its a three cylinder disel sold under CATS name but manufactured by Perkins. It has 5 year on-site warranty so I would think it should be reliable. The Mill is Brand new.

Iam cutting on my parents farm (still my residence) for the spring and summer until my last year of school. After school I plan to run the mill long enough to pay it off and than see from there.

I have connections to loggers so right now there are a couple hundred logs outside that are going to be cutt up.
