Your chance to brag...

Just wondering.....how many years have some of you been hunting with crossbows and how many deer size (or bigger game) you have harvested with them?

GonHuntin I honestly don't remember now and I can't find my hunting stub I had it wrote on. It took both of my son's and I to drag him to the truck, that I remember very well....

I shot him with the 185lb Exomag and a lazer goldtip II with 100gr. slicktrick.... :D

Congrats on them nice deer everyone.

I started hunting at 15 with a Barnett Wild cat (I'm 40 now) and the first year killed a Doe with the Barnett. Since then , I have killed More deer , bears, and turkey , tried Moose and Caribou but never got in the right place to make the kill. About 1990 I changed to the Compound Bow, and the last deer I took was last season

it is something I look forward too every year...BT

Never really kept an accurate count of years or deer, but the Excalibur has added a few to the freezer in the past few years. I believe the doe I shot with the muzzleloader last year was the first deer I've killed with anything other than the crossbow in three years. No huge bucks, but a lot of meat for the freezer, which is why I hunt anyway

Started hunting with an xbow in '92 with a Horton. Killed a doe that year. Bow was stolen ina break in. I replaced it with an Exocet in '93. Didn't kill another deer with an xbow until '96. Since then I've killed somewhere between 20 and 25 deer. Best has been an 130's class 8 point that weighed around 185lbs. I still use the same Exocet purchased in '93. I've had mounted with a red dot until this year, and have changed to a drop zone scope.

This season will be my 19th season hunting with the crossbow ( since 1986 ). I've shot turkey, moose, bear, and too many deer to start counting 'em...
