Extra Deer Tags

Has anyone heard how the additional archery tags for deer in Ontario are going too work this year.

How is it you guys got extra Deer tags when the additional tags dont go on sale until Aug.8? Hunt Reg Book.

I don't think they got tags but got the info package and telephone codes for the different WMU's that they can buy extra tags for.

I thought that additonal deer seals were not going on sale until August 8. what gives?

Must be a special draw for the seniors!

I phoned in my antlerless application last week sometime, but the extra tags are only available starting Monday 8th. That's how I read it anyway.

This is the info package only.

I have to phone on Aug. 8th like everybody else.
There is so many extra tags available I'm not worried.

I hear ya! Last year we were allowed up to 6 extra. When I spoke to the MNR dude he said the same this year.
Funny thing though , the area that I 've found the most Deer, also has a controlled hunt, you "can't" get extra tags for, go figure eh? Only in the "Archery only" Areas, where there is no controlled hunt. Where I am anyway.
