Back in 2001, I was hunting in a new club on the first morning of the season. I got in there later than usual, and was light enough to see without a light. As I approached the shooting house, I saw a buck in the food plot. I was 200 steps from the deer as later walked off. He never saw me standing there in the road as I shot him. Afterwards I really hated killing the small 5 point, but he looked a little bigger in the scope. Anyways, I just got there so I decided to sit in the stand for a while. It wasn't 5 minutes later, that "Wile E Coyote" comes out heading strait for my deer. I guess he got maybe 40-50 yards from the deer and stopped. Looking directly in my direction. I though he got wind of me so I placed my mildot scope of my 300 WSM just under the chin. Fell flat on his bellie. Just though I would share this. Thanks.
