Chessy,
I don't think there is anything you can plant now that will be ready in 4 weeks, but you can plant clover now.
You can plant clover in fall or spring.
One other plant that I plant and you can probably plant now is a vegetable called radicchio. I plant that in my food plot mixed with clover and the deer devour it. They eat that before they eat the clover.
Radicchio is an Italian lettuce that keeps growing even when the deer eat all the leaves from it as it's starting to grow and will keep growing as long as it gets water.
There are 2 types and I think one can be planted in late August.
I'm sure if you plant radicchio now you will see some growth before Oct 1st. The plants don't have to be full grown for the deer to eat them.
Very nice pictures, yoy must be getting ancious for hunting season to start, I know I would be. Keep the pictures coming.
