homemade bolts

I have made a homemade crossbow and now i want to make some propper bolts fot it.

could you guys give me some tips on making bolts?

How many fins do i put on a bolt , and what knid of wood should i use?

If you have your heart set on wood arrows what you need are Port Orford Cedar arrows. FS Discount Archery has them (http://www.fsdiscountarchery.com). I would cut them to length and fletch them with feathers using an Arizona EZ Fletcher. FS Discount Archery should have everything you need. Give them a call and tell them what you're trying to do.

cool thanks guys but i wanted to craft the arrows myself and not buy anything. i would like to do things the bushcraft /survival way.

any ideas?
