Father/Daughter Gator Hunt II with pic's

Post by GaryL »

Quote Beardog" I took my daughter out Gator hunting again this year this past Friday night. She made me proud by taking a nice fat 8 footer with my Exomag! The gator made some nice runs taking the line and bouy out to the open lake. Jessica did a great job handlining the reptile to the boatside where we hit em with the bangstick to end it. She taped the mouth shut, helped haul it aboard and took the knife and placed the tag in the tail.
When my turn came, she learned a valuable lesson about hunting. Never take anything for granted. Somehow I managed to blow a number of shots at gators in the 9-11 foot range. I ended the night with a big zero. It is the missed opportunities that make you truely appreciate when things go right. As it turned out, this was her night!

And here's the picture's and all I can say is Thanks Beardog and Image

Nice job.
I think you should check the brace height on the bow. By the looks of the picture it looks like the string is right up to the riser.

I was going to say the same thing about checking the brace height of the bow. From things I've been reading this is a great setup for having your string pop off when you shoot.

Good job Jessica !! That's one species I'll never be able to hunt. How about going for some of them Southern deer ?

Great job. My daughters used to hunt with me but dont want to hunt this year. :( Bet it makes you proud. I know I was proud when mine were knocking Gobblers down. You have a very pretty daughter. Reminds me of Jennifer Anniston.
