Okay so a small difference then. About 5-10 grains if I'm right?

Will that make much of a difference between the two? Like how they shoot and stuff...

Tye, More like 75 gr. difference between Beman and GT lls. Your math needs polishing up.

Hmm....

Beman, no head = 325-330 gr

GT with 85 gr inserts + 125 gr head = 460 - 125 gr head = 335

What did I mess up?

My post says
GT lls for my Paradox20" bolt + 85 gr brass inserts + 125 Slick=460 gr
250gr bolt + 125gr BH +85gr insert=460gr

Beman 330 gr shaft + 85 gr insert + 125 BH = 540 gr

20" Bemans-4" vanes-aluminum inserts front and rear-no points=325-330gr

20" GTlls 4" vanes-aluminum inserts front and rear-no points=250-254gr

Okay I'm kinda lost...

Gad said his Bemans weigh about 430 gr with a 100gr head, and his Gold Tips weigh 360 with a 100gr head also.

Gary said Bemans are 424 gr with 100 gr heads and that if I get GT's with brass inserts I'll be just as good

Then you say GT's are 254 + 100 gr head = 354 gr total and Beman are 330 + 100 gr head = 430 gr total.

Will the GT with the heavier brass inserts not bring me about even with the Bemans like Gary stated?

Wow my brain is feeling like a puzzle right now...

There is approxamately 75gr difference between a 20" Beman and a 20" GT shaft so just add a brass insert of 75 gr. thats not hard.

Tye,

The weight I give you on bemans: 430gr with point, GaryL: 424gr and Digger 430gr. There is only 6 grains difference between this weights, it must be only the fletching type used on each of our arrows. Mine bemans are fletched with 5'' vanes.

Tye, go with the Gold Tip lazer 2 with a 100 gr head. This will bring you in at your bows min. arrow weight of 350gr. If you want to hunt moose at some time then go with a heavier arrow but for deer hunting you want the arrow to get there as fast as possible. Your bow has more then enough KE for deer so why go with a heavier arrow? Not only that but you can always change to brass inserts to make your arrows heavier and save yourself the money of buying new arrows.

I have both bolts and find the Bemans to be far more durable than the gold tips....with that said I hunt with gold tips fitted with wasp boss 100s. The just seem to fly nicer.

I just can't seem to make up my mind.... lol

I think I'm just gonna buy 6 of each. Then I won't be wondering if I buy one or the other. I think that would be a smart decision.

Agreed?
