New xbow owner
I just got my 1st xbow a vixen and had some questions. I plan on hunting whitetails. What would be a good bolt, broadhead and the effective range of the xbow. Thanks for any help Salisbury Md
First of all, congrats on the Excalibur
If you're after whitetails, go with a light carbon. Gold Tip Laser 2's and 100gr broadheads are a good suggestion. I've seen it suggested for Vixens alot on here.
I think 20-25 yards would be your best bet.. but half the fun of bow hunting is getting them as close as you can
I will be hunting with a Pheonix this year and I don't plan on taking any shots over 40 yards at the most. I hope to keep them around 20-25 yards as well.
Good luck, hope you have fun

Welcome to the x-bow world!! You have done the first thing right already!
You bought an Excalibur. Myself I like carbon bolts with #100 broad heads brand is not as important as putting the broad head in the kill zone. Practise will tell you at what range you should hunt at. Up to 20-25 yards is a good start. You can work around this number as you get better and better with your bow. Best of luck this year!

For Sale Exomags and Exocet's (Discontinued madels)
O.K. here's goes again. This same store has 3 Exocet's and 2 Exomag's still in their store. These along with the Vixen's are not being made anymore, and some say they are the best Excalibur Xbows ever made. You decide. So if your still looking for one they have...........
Exomag.... 2 Left--- $639.88 + 7% Tax = $684.67 Can. funds
Exocet ..... 3 Left--- $569.88 + 7% Tax = $609.77 Can. funds
I'm only doing this for you guys that maybe want one of these models for your collection, or just to have one for your first. This particular store is in my mind a little pricey, that's why I hardly ever go in there to purchase anything.
