fitpays,

If it's really impossilbe to turn off the beep - find the speaker hole and
plug it or tape over.

fitpays : I shoot a Pentax PZ 10 35mm SLR . My camera beeps when it does an auto focus as well .... but most deer don't react , I figure they must think it is a bird ?

I took several shots of this doe .... she was real close , I wasn't that high up , the wind was right and she only looked around ....

The last frame .... she is looking out at my decoys ....

Now this small buck pegged me on the last frame .... I believe he heard the camera powerwind .... I was very high up and had good cover .... he eventually walked away slightly flagging his tail ....

I have taken tons of photos with the autofocus beep and can honestly say I don't think any deer spooked from the beep ? Maybe the beep helped them pin point my position , but that's about it .

This guy spooked when I put my arm up to shield myself .....
