here in ontario it is illeagle to shoot em with crossbow

but you can shoot em with a compound

just another one of the stupid laws in ontario

Can someone tell me where to find that in the ontario regs about "here in ontario it is illegal to shoot em with crossbow but you can shoot em with a compound just another one of the stupid laws in ontario" . I am having ahard time finding any info for goose regs.

read away....

at the top you will see where it says long bow and then it defines terms ... then about half way down you will see hunting methods and equipment ...

Thanks Chessy, I was unware that geese could not be hunted with a crossbow. I don't agree with that and think it should be changed but until then I guess we can't. Thanks again for the link.

from the migratory bird convention- Canadian wildlife service

HUNTING METHODS AND EQUIPMENT

15. (1) Subject to subsections (4) and (5) and sections 23.1 and 23.2, no person shall hunt a migratory bird

(a) except with a long bow and arrow or with a shotgun not larger than number 10 gauge;
