Firearms season

Post by BigUgly »

Not talking for everyone else but I'm really looking forward to next week. Got the week off and will be hunting with shotgun in div. 73 in the Port Perry to Little Britan area. Anyone else have plans for next week? Always find it interesting to see the wide ranging area people on this board cover.

Work :( . Started a new job so didn't want to be taking a week off after having been there only three months. I did manage to get today and tomorrow off, hopefully put my tag on a buck before the guys go in with their shotguns.

Hey Bigugly:

Been a while. I will be at my place in 89 for shotgun 7-12 Nov. Can take Buck or Doe. "Oh yes, there will be Blood!" Can't wait. Crossbow is fun but Guns Rock. Already one Doe, how about you?

I will be by Cloyne in area 61 . The camp I hunt in was built by my grandfather back in the 40's . I have been hunting there since i was 16 . I was lucky enough to hunt with my grandfather and my dad for 2 years before my grandfather passed away , he was 83 at the time . Now it is the one week a year that Dad and i look forward to all year . We have ten real good guys in the camp and we always have a good time . Thats what it is all about . :D

Oh yah we do get the odd dear.

I'm heading out on Saturday Bigugly, with my son Little Owl. We got snow here tuesday night, the rut will be in full swing. I nailed a huge 10 pointer on Tuesday afternoon, just going into full rut. I hope like hell I can rattle, grunt, or bleap a rutting buck in on Saturday for my 13 year old kid, I'm just pumped for him.

Off all week myself BigUgly and can't wait look forward to it all year.

Have two areas to cover next week 82A (300 acres) and 84 (450 acres) both rifle.

The biggest problem now is to decide which rifle to use 30-06, 270, 243 ????

Enjoy DyHard

My property is in #73. S/E of Port Perry. Being self-employed I only get out on weekends.

I used to hunt up by Cloyne for several years.
