Yowsers. That looks tender!!

I sliced my thumb up a few years back doing dishes , cleaning inside a glass when it exploded. 6 stitches to close her up, but it took a fairly long time to heal. For a few weeks any heavy lifting or flexing and blood would start seeping out again.

Take it easy for a while, hopefully your thumb will be healed before the rut. I took a nasty cut while gutting a rabbit a few years ago :x . Went out of camp to get stitches and was back in that night. My finger was sore and swollen, but I had it wrapped and in a splint, so I managed to finish the trip and even shot a few more rabbits.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!

RJ, I feel your pain. I strained my back two weeks before the season opened here in Georgia. I was out of work for a week and a half and haven't been able to cock my Exocet since it happened. My only consolation is that it has been so hot here in Georgia that I would be concerned about meat spoilage if I had been able to hunt.

Hang in there........Mike
