"SNAKES"
I've caught one of them Massassaga rattlesnakes around Georgian Bay. And have seen a couple more. Nice little snakes, and definately don't want to have anything to do with you, but will bite if threatened!!
The snake that was seen around the Forks of the Credit was probably a milk snake. I've caught them as well
!! Far more common than rattlesnakes but mainly nocturnal so rarely seen unless you go looking for them. They can act aggressive and will bite to defend themselves. They also vibrate their tail, so if on any dry leaves or other debris they can sound like a rattlesnake. Their basic pattern is similar, although usually dark/dull red blothes. I have, however, seen one where the blothes were brown. They are harmless, efficient constrictors.

You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

If I lived in snake country I'd stay on the sidewalk. That 6 ft. mother of a rattler gives me the hoobie geebies just looking at his picture let a lone seeing him for real. I don't want to hunt so badly that I'll put myself in the position of the prey.
If you are still alive your mission here on Earth must not be completed.

You've posted some dandy pictures of that snake and the cats. What would that snake weigh? What's the average weight of the cats?
The snake still gives me the creeps but the cats look like a lot of fun.ENJOY!
I was over to the Napanee River yesterday and today having a look at the salmon run. There were a lot of 25 to 40 lb. fish trying to leap over the falls. They've gone black this time of year but are still fun to watch and catch especially on light or medium weight spinning gear.
