I wouldn't eat it either.

I know some of you don't care for predators but this is an example of where wolves and other predators are good for removing the sick and/or old deer out of the herd. If there were more predators around that doe would be taken out of the gene pool and would not be reproducing. I think we would have a lot less chronic wasting disease in the deer population too. This is the reason I don't shot wolves or coyotes when I come across them deer hunting.

My dad a few years ago shot a deer with a simular growth and then took it into the MNR. They told him it was only a SKIN GROWTH and did not affect the meat any.

When it was skinned out, the hide contained the growth and the meat showed no sign of it. The MNR also said that it was safe to eat.
